The purpose of performing pre-remediation mold testing is to provide the property owner or decision maker a clear picture of the severity of the issue at hand. Pre-remediation mold testing is important for many reasons. Some of these reasons include a defined starting point to be used as a comparable to post-remediation testing in order to ensure successful remediation. Pre-remediation mold testing can reveal further identification of potential hidden issues within the property. Testing can also help date the moisture intrusion which may reveal previously unknown water events which otherwise may be overlooked. Finally mold testing can assist with defining or expanding the scope of work necessary for a successful remediation.


Our Prime 1 Process

  1. We will meet you to inspect the property and discuss the areas you are most concerned with.
  2. We will set up air sampling equipment to assess what is in the air that we cannot see. 
  3. We will send the samples to the lab.  We will receive and provide the results to you within 24-48 hours after the inspection. There are rush options available in as quick as 3 hours for an additional cost. 
  4. We will discuss the assessment report and protocol with you so you can fully understand what is happening in your home or business. Nothing is worse than getting a report that you have no clue what it means.
  5. We will consult with you on your remediation options.  We do not have an affiliation with any remediation contractors, however we do know the ones that operate in a professional and ethical manner.
  6. We will perform a clearance test after the remediation has been completed.
  7. Upon successful remediation a Certificate of Mold Remediation will be issued to you.  This certificate is from the Texas Department of Insurance. This certificate shows that you have taken the necessary steps to remediate mold from your property.

To determine if there is a mold growth, the State of Texas requires that you first have an assessment made by an independent licensed mold assessment consultant. Our mold assessment consultants will run air sample tests to determine the types of mold present and the severity. We will then prepare a mold assessment protocol that will provide us with the required information to consult with you on your remediation options. After mold remediation, we will also do a follow up test to ensure that all mold has been remediated properly.
